The Founder
Dr. Harsha K. Rajasimha, PhD
Founder & Chief Executive Officer, Jeeva Clinical Trials

Jeeva Clinical Trials was founded from a deeply personal belief that clinical research should be more accessible, connected, and human-centered for the people depending on it most.
After years working across genomics, precision medicine, digital health, and biopharmaceutical research, Dr. Harsha Rajasimha saw how fragmented systems, operational complexity, and limited accessibility continued to slow clinical trials and create barriers for both patients and research teams. Personal experiences within his own family further shaped his conviction that the clinical trial experience needed to evolve.
That vision led to Jeeva, a connected clinical trial platform designed to support decentralized, hybrid, and site-based studies through workflows that bring sponsors, CROs, sites, coordinators, and participants together in one operational environment.
With experience spanning the NIH, FDA, and biopharmaceutical R&D, Dr. Rajasimha continues to focus on improving accessibility, reducing operational burden, and helping research teams execute modern clinical trials more efficiently and inclusively.
His work across rare disease advocacy, decentralized trials, and digital clinical infrastructure has been featured through global healthcare conferences, scientific publications, and patient advocacy initiatives worldwide.

The Background
Based on his 20 years of personal and professional lived experiences including the profound loss of a child to a rare disease in 2012 and a brother to juvenille Diabetes in 2017, Harsha decided to apply his years of post-doctoral research experience at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), FDA, bigpharma clinical R&D consulting, and HealthTech startups, towards driving efficiencies in the development of drugs, devices, and diagnostics for patients, focusing particularly on rare diseases.
Harsha’s passion led to the founding of Jeeva Clinical Trials Inc., which aims to reduce the timelines for clinical research and the development of treatments for rare genetic diseases.
The company strives to alleviate the burden on patients, caregivers, and researchers by creating AI-driven technology solutions that address barriers and bottlenecks in the clinical research processes.

Education
Harsha earned his doctorate in Genetics, Bioinformatics, and Computational Biology in 2007 and a masters degree in Computer Science and Applications in 2004 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech), and a baccalaureate degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Bangalore University in 2000.
From the beginning of his career, Harsha embraced interdisciplinary nature of precision medicine and biomedical research, broadening his understanding beyond computer science and big data to encompass basic biology, biochemistry, genetics, genomics, health, aging, and disease.
Global Footprints
Harsha’s global involvement in rare disease patient advocacy has led him to adopt the FDA’s patient-focused drug development paradigm, driven by a sense of urgency and the necessity to effectively communicate complex scientific and technical discoveries to broader patient and caregiver communities.
His commitment translates basic, clinical, and translational research into tangible public health benefits.
